Akil Hirani heads the corporate transactional practice at Majmudar & Co., and is also the Managing Partner of the firm.  Mr. Hirani’s particular experience includes structuring investments of foreign companies into India, M&A, joint ventures, corporate finance, India IP strategy advice, including software and biotechnology intellectual property rights protection advice, technology transfer agreements, and IT contracts.  He represents Microsoft Corporation, Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated, Cadence Design Systems Inc., Wells Fargo Bank, Travelers Group, Hitachi Metals Ltd., HSBC Software India, and many other international companies and banks in India. Mr. Hirani is admitted to practise law in California, India, and England & Wales. He graduated with a BA in Psychology from St. Xavier’s College, University of Mumbai in 1989, and obtained his LL.B. (Hons.) from the Government Law College, University of Mumbai in 1992, having specialized in Private International Law.
