Barton W. S. Bassett is an associate at Fenwick & West LLP, practicing in the area of taxation.

Mr. Bassett's practice includes both domestic and international federal income tax. A significant part of his practice includes tax planning for pending transactions. He represents both U.S.- based companies in domestic and international transactions, as well as foreign based companies with operations in the U.S. He also is currently involved with IRS income tax audits and tax court cases.

Mr. Bassett received his B.A. degree with honors in 1992 from the University of California, at Davis. He received his J.D. degree magna cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1996. He graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif and was an associate editor on the Hastings Law Review.
