Charles Goulding is a Managing Director at Cooper Industries, Inc. in Houston, Texas. Cooper is a New York Stock Exchange Company with sales approximating four billion dollars. Before joining Cooper, Mr. Goulding was a vice president of another similar sized industrial manufacturer.  A substantial portion of Mr. Goulding’s career activities relate to intellectual property issues, including brands, patents, trademarks, trade names, software, copyrights, trade secrets and secret formulas.  Mr. Goulding is a former President of the New York Chapter of the Tax Executives Institute and a Board Member of the FSC/DISC Association.  He is on the Advisory Board of the Interstate Tax Report, International Tax Report, Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Business Taxation.  He has published articles in various publications including International, Business, Euromoney, Taxation for Accountants, The Practical Accountant, The CPA Journal, Corporate Business Taxation Monthly and Mergers & Acquisitions.  Mr. Goulding has served as the Co-Chairman of the Taxation of Mergers and Acquisition conferences in Houston, New York City, San Francisco and Paris, France.  Mr. Goulding has a law degree from Brooklyn Law School (Juris Doctor) and an MBA from Adelphi University.  Mr. Goulding also participated in Pace University’s Doctor of Business Administration Program.  He serves as an advisor to the Fordham University Masters in Taxation Program.  His undergraduate degree is from the State University of New York at Stony Brook where he was a double major in Political Science and Economics.
