| DAVID STEPHEN HOPE Assistant Miami-Dade County Attorney David Stephen Hope is an Assistant Miami-Dade County Attorney. Mr. Hope’s practice areas include litigation and appeals, finance and municipal bonds, land use and zoning, aviation, housing, code enforcement, and personnel. His work encompasses: writing opinions, resolutions and ordinances for the Board of County Commissioners; evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing financial transactions; and representing Miami-Dade County in federal and state court oral arguments and trials. Mr. Hope is admitted to practice law in the states of New York and Florida, and the United States Southern District Court of Florida and Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Hope obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Princeton University in 1982, a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1986, and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 1996. Mr. Hope worked for Consolidated Edison of New York, was the President and Founder of DSH Consultants, and worked for Barclays Bank PLC. Mr. Hope has over eight (8) years experience in finance related management consulting, commercial banking, strategic business planning, micro-based financial systems implementation, and marketing. Mr. Hope teaches Legal Research & Writing at St. Thomas University School of Law.
