Evelyn Havasi is a Managing Director and the Head of U.S. Equity Distribution and Execution for Citigroup’s Asset Finance Group based in New York. She has leveraged Citigroup’s resources to cover the U.S. equity market, innovate unique structures based on market conditions and a successful track record of closing highly complex structured transactions. Since 1996, she has advised Citibank’s lessees in the public and private sector in US cross border lease transactions in 6 countries involving over $10 billion in assets. Ms. Havasi has been involved in the domestic and cross-border big ticket leasing industry for the past 13 years and has closed transactions in each of the rail, aircraft, power, shipping and telecommunications sectors. Prior to joining Citibank in 1996, she was involved in the origination, structuring, placement and execution of asset based US cross-border lease transactions at Macquarie Bank in New York. She also spent eight years with Fulbright & Jaworski and Lord, Day & Lord Barrett Smith advising both lessors and lessees on tax matters. Ms. Havasi holds an LLM in taxation from New York University of Law, a JD from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a BA from Yeshiva University.
