Ramon Camacho George A. Hani is a Member of Miller & Chevalier in Washington, DC. George A. Hani’s practice involves tax planning and consulting as well as audit, appeals, and docketed cases. Mr. Hani advises clients on a wide range of tax issues such as worker classification, partnership structures, U.S. withholding taxes, section 475 mark-to-market issues, and the qualification of solid waste disposal facilities for tax-exempt financing. Mr. Hani also has significant experience related to purchase price allocation issues and valuation issues for such items as standing timber, engineering drawings, covenants not to compete, and professional sports player contracts. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hani served as an Honors Attorney in the Office of the General Counsel in the U.S. Department of the Treasury. In the Honors Program, Mr. Hani worked for the Chief Counsel, International, in the Internal Revenue Service National Office and for the International Tax Counsel in the Treasury’s Office of Tax Policy. He is a member of the Foreign Activities of U.S. Taxpayers Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of Taxation.
