JONATHAN EVERETT

Jonathan Everett is a Managing Director of the View Group.   The View Group focuses on investing in US companies that leverage Indian resources to enhance their competitive position.  Prior to joining View, Mr. Everett was a Partner of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, one of the world's largest law firms.  While at Skadden, he was involved in the structuring and execution of many corporate mergers and acquisitions. He worked on some of the earliest leveraged buyouts in the United States, advised on financings in China, Japan, and Europe, and helped pioneer interest rate and currency swaps. Mr. Everett came to India in 1994 to work on the financing of the Dabhol Power Company, a joint venture of Bechtel, Enron, and GE that is the largest foreign investment in India's history.  In 2000 he was a member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India's committee on venture capital reform. Mr. Everett holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an M.A. in History from Harvard University. He was a Knox Fellow at Oxford University, and earned a B.A. in History from the University of Chicago.
