RICHARD E. CLARK

RICHARD E. CLARK is a senior partner in Stikeman Elliott LLP’s corporate/commercial section in Toronto.  He has practised business law for more than 25 years, primarily in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, outsourcing, licensing and financing.  He has a broadly-based clientele including Air Liquide, Bata, Canada Post Corporation, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Lloyds of London, Collins & Aikman, Church & Dwight, House of Blues, Pioneer, Kroll Lindquist Avey, Sanyo, among others, representing virtually every industry sector with a large number of international clients.  Mr. Clark has participated as a speaker and panellist at various professional industry seminars and is the author of a number of papers and articles dealing with corporate and commercial matters including participating on a panel at the International Wealth Transfer Practice Conference in New York (December, 2003) and publishing recent papers on “Joint Ventures” for the Institute for Professional Development (2003) and the “Sale of a Business” for Biotechnology Focus (2003).  Mr. Clark is also the Chairman of Stikeman Elliott’s National Technology Committee.  Mr. Clark is a member of the Ontario Bar, as well as a member of several professional organizations including the American Bar Association and the International Bar Association.  Mr. Clark is a member of the Board of Directors of a number of Canadian companies.  He has the following degrees:B.A.Sc.
