J. ROBERT ARTHUR is a Director in KPMG’s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office serving clients in the food, pharmaceutical, electronics and communications, banking and industrial markets industries.  Mr. Arthur areas of experience include coordinating the delivery of global tax services and the review of tax provision matters; designing base shifting strategies; identifying earnings and profits and foreign tax credit planning opportunities; modeling the outcomes of tax planning alternatives; implementing “P & L” efficient cash repatriation strategies; assisting companies develop their global reporting packages; and, providing due diligence assistance related to foreign mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Arthur is also the Director of the Midatlantic Export Tax Management ("ETM") practice; identifying opportunities for organizations to reduce the federal tax due on their qualifying export sales.  His is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History, Susquehanna University.
