DR. WENDELL JONES

Dr. Wendell Jones has extensive IT management and general management experience in the securities, aerospace and computer industries and the US military. Recent clients include Michigan State Housing Development Authority, Parkland Health and Hospital System, BIOSIS, Getty Trust and Museum, Mapeley (UK), ABN AMRO (London), American University, Xerox, and World Bank. Typical engagements involve assessing, reorganizing and transforming the IT function, coaching and mentoring the CIO, aligning IT with business direction and strategy, advising and managing outsourcing evaluation and implementation projects, and providing training and advice for effective management of outsourcing relationships. Dr. Jones is the author and co-author of a number of management and IT articles and an outsourcing book published by Prentice Hall, Outsourcing Information Technology Systems and Services.  He is frequently invited to speak at conferences about outsourcing, IT management and relationship management. His education includes an MBA and Ph.D. in general management and information systems from the University of Georgia, a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas, and a post-doctoral fellowship in computer science at Cornell University. Dr. Jones currently serves as a Special Advisor to Global Equations Inc., an offshoring strategy and advisory firm.
